Reject system “Pusher”
The “Pusher” is a versatile tool when it comes to the rapid removal of contaminated or faulty products on conveyor belts. It can be used for a wide range of goods, mostly from the areas of hygiene and the food industry.
If a metal chip, a glass splinter or a quality defect in the product is detected by the upstream inspection system, such as a metal detector or an X-ray inspection system, a timed signal is sent to the rejection unit.
With the pusher, the control valve of a pneumatic cylinder is activated. This moves to the end position within milliseconds, usually exactly diagonally to the conveying direction of the belt. A baffle plate is mounted in the front area of this cylinder. This pushes the product into the reject bin. Before the next product enters the area of the pusher, it retracts back to its starting position.
With this variant of ejector, around one hundred items can be examined per minute. It is possible to combine them with all conveyor belt types from our food range and our X-ray scanner program.
Typical examples of use for the pusher range from removing grilled meat and sausage products to cheese as sliced goods, large packages of frozen vegetables, pasta products, diaper packs and much more.
Special versions for the pusher are available for particularly flat products with a soft lip that scrapes directly over the conveyor belt, wedge pushers for bottles or heavy-duty versions for bags of flour, plastic granules or food additives.
