Octagonal tunnel metal detector for the examination of tree trunks
Metal detectors of the METRON 05 CO type are used for the examination of logs before or after debarking. Thanks to their special shape and the wide range of diameters, from 900 mm to over 2000 mm, they can be perfectly adapted to the conveyor trough. The range of functions is extended by accessories such as colour marking devices or the TRANSTRON HL heavy duty conveyor. Voltage constant holders and so-called “shielding extensions” ensure reliable operation, even in areas affected by electromagnetic fields.

With digital networking the OPC UA protocol, in addition to other protocols, is used here for the smooth transmission of operating conditions and production-critical values.
Depending on the system, these basic functions can be supplemented with the mesuNET network software, the mesuREMOTE remote maintenance tool or the mesuEXPORT reporting feature to allow full use of the potential of digitization and Industry 4.0.
